Introduction to Magnetic Level Gauge

The DIUHZ series magnetic level gauge, also known as a magnetic float level gauge, magnetic level column, magnetic level plate, or magnetic float level gauge, can safely and reliably measure liquid levels under high temperature, high pressure, high viscosity, and strong corrosive conditions. It provides intuitive and clear readings with a wide measurement range. When equipped with a magnetic switch and a remote level transmitter, it can achieve upper and lower limit alarms and control of the liquid level (interface), as well as remote detection and control.
This series of products is widely used in liquid level measurement and control in various industries such as power, petroleum, chemical metallurgy, environmental protection, pharmaceuticals, and food.
Working principle
The DIUHZ series magnetic float-type level gauge is connected to the container via a side flange, so that the change in the liquid in the level gauge is consistent with the change in the liquid level in the container.
The cylindrical float inside the level gauge cavity, together with the magnetic flap and switch outside the level gauge, forms a magnetic system. The cylindrical float influences the flip column inside the flap and the magnetic elements inside the switch through the magnetic field, thus displaying the change in liquid level linearly.
The magnetic flip plate contains small, columnar magnets within its flip columns, all evenly spaced within aluminum slots with a radial spacing of 10mm. Half of the flip columns are white/black, and the other half are red/yellow. As the liquid level in the level gauge rises or falls, the float moves accordingly. The magnetic field of the permanent magnet mounted on top of the float rotates the outer flip plate’s magnetic flip column 180°. When the liquid level rises, the flip column changes from white/black to red/yellow; conversely, when the liquid level falls, the flip column changes from red/yellow to white/black. This allows the magnetic flip column to reflect changes in the liquid level within the container without requiring any power source. It completely isolates the liquid medium from the measurement indication, providing a safe and reliable means and method for detecting the liquid level of flammable, explosive, and toxic media.
